It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our author Jacqueline Rohen on 28th April at her home in Uganda.
Jacqueline was an author and a conservationist whose debut novel How to Marry Your Husband is published today. We at LBA and her publishers at Arrow and Cornerstone are shocked and saddened by this news and had been looking forward to celebrating the publication of Jacqueline’s first book, and continuing to grow her writing career. Our thoughts are with her family and her fiancé Matt at this time.
Sonny Marr, Editor at Arrow, says: ‘Jax was a brilliant author and a friend. It was a privilege to have been her editor and she will be greatly missed.’
Luigi Bonomi, Jacqueline’s agent at LBA, says: ‘Jacqueline Rohen was a hugely talented author with a wonderful sense of humour. We were discussing the new novel she was writing the week before she died and she was so excited. The industry has lost a great talent.’
Jacqueline and her fiancé Matt dedicated their lives to the welfare of chimpanzees, protecting their habitat and supporting local communities in Uganda. Together they established and ran the Bulindi Chimpanzee and Community Project.
