LBA is delighted to announce that it has teamed up again with the Daily Mail and Penguin Random House to search the UK for a new big writing talent in the fourth iteration of the First Novel Competition!
The judges this year are LBA’s very own Luigi Bonomi; Selina Walker, one of publishing’s most respected editors; best-selling popular novelist and TV presenter Fern Britton; and crime writer Peter James. They’re looking for fantastic adult fiction in any genre apart from saga, sci-fi or fantasy. The winner will receive a £20,000 publishing contract and representation by LBA.

If you’re an aspiring author looking for your chance to break into the industry, this could be it! Previous winners of the competition are Amy Lloyd (author of The Innocent Wife and One More Lie), Lizzy Barber (for My Name is Anna), and Georgia Fancett, whose novel The Fifth Girl is forthcoming from Penguin Random House.
Good luck to all entrants!
