Gillian Richmond is the author of plays for theatre and radio, among them The Last Waltz (Thames/Pearson Theatre Writing Award), The Legacy (Susan Smith Blackburn Award, shortlisted), and The Snatch (BBC Radio 4 Monday Night Theatre). She has over a hundred hours of TV and radio to her name, including The Archers, EastEnders (Tony Warren Award for Outstanding Achievement), Maisie Raine, Heartbeat, Casualty, Holby City, and Silent Witness. She has been Writer in Residence at the Soho Theatre and RLF Writing Fellow at the University of Essex. Her script work is represented by Casarotto Ramsay.
She is currently finishing her first novel.
As a child Gillian lived in Malaysia, Ghana and Scotland and several different counties of England. As an adult she has been happily settled in London. She is married with two children.
